Why we started Hearthscroll

Hearthscroll began with a quiet worry many parents feel but struggle to name. We looked around our homes and saw brighter nights, endless screens, and children who were tired, distracted, and overwhelmed far too early in life.

We didn’t want to accept that as normal.

Founded in 2024, Hearthscroll was created from a desire to protect childhood — to slow things down and bring families back to environments that calm the body, sharpen the mind, and support natural growth.

We believe light should help the body rest, not fight against it. We believe children learn best when they use their hands, imagination, and senses — not when their attention is pulled into a screen. That belief guides everything we create, from gentle low-tox lighting that supports healthy sleep rhythms to thoughtfully designed educational tools that build focus, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
